Finance Director

Description

The City of Randleman (pop 4,400), located approximately 15 miles south of Greensboro in Randolph County, North Carolina is seeking a Finance Director to join our progressive organization.  Responsibilities include planning and directing the disbursement and accounting of revenues and expenditures for the City, as well as supervising the City’s budget, purchasing, accounting, investments, utility billing and collections, general revenue collections and payroll operations. Position also assists the auditors during the annual audit, maintains the financial systems of the City, manages City’s insurance programs including employee benefits, worker’s compensation, property, liability and more and performs other duties, as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, public administration or related field and considerable experience in public finance administration including supervisory experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree and/or Certified Local Government Finance Officer a plus. Applicant must pass a background check and be bondable.

Hiring Salary

Range

$45,408.48 to $51,084.82; DOQ.

Patrol Officer 

Description

The City of Randleman (pop 4,400), located approximately 15 miles south of Greensboro in Randolph County, North Carolina is seeking a Patrol Officer to join our progressive organization.  Responsibilities include performing general duty law enforcement work in varied areas of the department including patrol, investigating traffic accidents, investigating criminal activity, serving warrants, traffic law enforcement, responding to domestic disputes, and other duties, as assigned. Position is highly visible in the community and exercises visible presence to prevent or abate crime.  Employees must have the ability to develop a positive public image, display tact and firmness when interacting with criminal suspects or witnesses, apply reasoned and experienced judgement and discretion, and project a positive attitude.

Education and Experience Requirements

Graduation from high school or GED equivalency is required.

Special Requirements

Valid North Carolina Driver’s License; Must have obtained and be able to maintain Basic Law Enforcement Certification (BLET) as a law enforcement officer by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission (required to be continuously employed).  Position does require some special physical requirements (see attached position description for details).

Community Center Attendant

(part time)

Description

The City of Randleman (pop 4,400), located approximately 15 miles south of Greensboro in Randolph County, North Carolina is seeking an Community Center Attendant to join our progressive organization.  Responsibilities include providing guest services to the citizen of Randleman and Community Center customers to enable a positive, safe, clean and enjoyable recreation environment.  This position helps Community Center patrons with registration for sports leagues and community center memberships, collects fees, and assists patrons with community center equipment.  Other duties include scheduling and reserving of event spaces, enforcing Community Center rules and regulations, communicating with citizens, customers, coworkers and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner and performing other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

Graduation from high school or GED equivalency is required.  May have to have the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Pay Rate

$8 per hour
