The majority of contact that the public has with the police department is with the members of the patrol division. The patrol division consist of four teams. Each team works twelve-hour rotating shifts and is supervised by one patrol sergeant. Patrol is responsible for responding to 911 calls for service, motor vehicle crashes, enforcement of traffic laws, initial investigation of a crime and other calls as required.
Before becoming a patrol officer with the Randleman Police Department, you must complete a state-approved police academy, medical examination, background investigation, psychological evaluation, Oral Interview and interview with the Chief of Police.
